Going Home to Die

Our installation was created collaboratively with innovation designers Karen Oikonen and Kate Wilkes, former Research Coordinator Stephanie Saunders, and an advisory team of patients and healthcare providers. The work was part of the Dying. event series at the DesignTO festival (January 17–26, 2020). The “Dying.exhibits” group show explored end-of-life themes, prompting participants to contemplate life and death while facilitating difficult conversations through art, design, and interactive experiences.
